What does “low speed geometry” mean?
What we at Glide Bikes refer to as, “low speed geometry,” really just means how fast the bike needs to go in order to balance. Most bicycles need to reach a certain speed (sometimes 5mph or more) in order for the bike to become stable and not topple over. Our low speed geometry allows children to be able to balance at only 2mph, getting rid of the need to go faster before they’re ready.
Why does “low speed geometry” matter?
Being able to balance earlier makes a huge difference in the bike learning process! Kiddos will have the opportunity to quickly understand the principles of balance without the necessity of going a speed they aren’t comfortable with. Your child’s confidence will grow more easily with the fast progress they can experience by balancing right away, going their speed. Our patented low speed geometry makes it possible for your kid to be upright on a bike, even when they aren’t going fast!
